WORKING AT HIS

I can hardly believe that this is now a second year in my new home. We have seen a lot of challenges, changes and success stories take place this year and I hope that you are proud of yourselves for being part of this new HIS adventure. Keep aiming high and keep working with us towards achieving our school vision of ensuring quality students with quality education, an excellent school with excellent learners and responsible citizens. Keep in mind that life is about choosing the right path and not the easy one. Keep your dreams in front of your eyes and plan for them so you can achieve them and remember the real pleasure in life is to earn the merit and not just to get the merit. So, it is okay to trip but you have to stand up and try again and again until you make it, as Winston Churchill has said “Success is walking from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm”. I want you also to always remember the ones who worked hard with you to make you better students and successful people: your teachers, your parents and your administrators. Once you reach the pinnacle of success, remain humble and show them your gratitude as you wouldn’t be able to be the person you have become without them, their guidance and their support.

“Together we make the change”

Ahmed Touati,
Boys School Principal

“The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step” – this is a frequently quoted sentence which has inspired me throughout my career as an Educator, Educationist & Educational Administrator. What if we could take, not only a single step but many steps towards the journey of excellence in education? This is what has genuinely happened in Hawar International School during this SY 2018-19. A series of positive initiatives, transformation policy changes & enthusiastic vibes have really taken HIS too many steps ahead of its past history & glory !

In the changing global scenarios, empowered women have become rich sources of inspiration & motivation to all the female fraternity and in HIS, what I could witness is the rise of dedicated, determined & aggressive girls who have proven through their bright academic records despite the implementation of the new Cambridge Curriculum, MUN awards, Sports Awards, Art contests awards, after school clubs performances, Debate awards, scientific projects & presentations and, above all, successful leadership roles – That here is, a real new gen girls community, who are capable of facing the world’s new challenges & achieve the laurels of success ! The students of other schools count HIS girls as worthy opponents in every single event !

And I acknowledge, that this success is not only in lieu of HIS staff, but it’s the combined efforts of all stakeholders – school Board, staff, Parents, students & the community who have always been there with us. Keep supporting, Keep the bonding …which is our Tap root of energy.

Last but not the least, my message to the Outgoing Graduates is –

”Let not the world set your goals, you set your goals & Keep flying high.… let only the sky be the limit”

Sajith Satheesh,
Girls School Principal

Hawar International School offers a wonderful work environment where teachers are continually challenged to achieve the best in them. Students continue to challenge us by being true progeny of the dynamic times we live in, the leadership challenges us to rise to the challenge they present and our colleagues challenge us to keep up with them. With a can do attitude and a positive spirit, the school provides great opportunity for growth: both personal and professional. Continuous Professional Development is an ongoing process that empowers teachers to keep up with the latest trends in teaching.

I choose to work at Hawar as I am a part of a very accepting, truly multinational workforce. This is reflective of the society of Bahrain as it is an all-embracing, very progressive country. As a mother of three, I am easily able to maintain a healthy work/life balance and have a life of my own. As a teacher, I am valued by my students and their parents. As an individual, I feel fulfilled!

Mary Cris,
Coordinator for English Subjects (Middle & High)

I feel so blessed every day that I am working at HIS. It gives me the fullest enthusiasm for teaching. It is such a positive experience to support student growth at both the elementary and high school level. HIS has an amazing ability to attract top people who work for the love of teaching.

I appreciate, how the school works hard to provide focused relevant support that it is sensitive to our unique needs as a teaching community. Our community works to develop responsibility and sensitivity, in the students. The collaborative discussion between the management and the teachers has a direct, positive impact on our continuous improvement and effort and it gives us confidence.

Coordinator for English Subjects (Elementary)
